With the blessings of hard work and paying our tithing, we were able to purchase a new home! Our other home was getting quite cramped. It was 3 bedrooms and two bathrooms crammed together in 1025 square feet! Our family of four was struggling to make it comfortable, and my boys needed a yard to play in. I began the search of a new home, convinced Ian that it was time to upgrade, and within 6 weeks of putting an offer on a short sale, we were approved! We upgraded to an 1800 square foot home, with 4 bedrooms and two bathrooms.
A lot of memories were made in this home. We lived here for 5 years! Made some great friends. Boston says he still misses it but...
We hope to make many more new memories in our new home! We already made some during the summer in our front yard. It was nice having the large lawn to play on a slip n slide, have a swimming pool out, and have friends invited over to join in on the fun!
We were able to upgrade from this living room to....
A great big open floor plan!
Cupboards galore, pantry, and granite counter tops!
Our tiny dining area meant for skinny people. :)
Our laundry closet has been upgraded to an actual laundry room, with cupboards, a counter top, and a sink!
The boys were able to get their own rooms, which meant that Blake started sleeping through the night almost right away! That is a blessing in and of itself! Our Master Bedroom is on the opposite side of the boys' bedrooms. Our Master Bath has double sinks, jetted tub, and a walk-in shower. The walk-in shower is a curse most mornings, because I have a munchkin that likes to join me while still wearing his pajamas!
The backyard is fully private with a block wall. However, the previous tenants let the weeds overtake, so we have been working on fixing up the yard so it can be more enjoyable for the little ones. But, Boston does enjoy his "construction site."
We live on a quiet street, with great neighbors. We are either very spoiled or very BLESSED!
P.S. Our house isn't fully "moved-in" yet. These pictures were taken while we were still in the cleaning phase. Once I feel moved-in and have pictures on the wall, then just maybe I will update the blog to show the house decorated. With my track record on updating the blog, I wouldn't hold your breath.
